Professor Mwera Foundation is a nonprofit institution residing in Tarime town council, Mara region in Tanzania. It is registered by The General of Trustees and given Certificate of Incorporation No.5668 on 12th day of NOVEMBER 2019.The headquarter of the foundation is located at Songambele Street, Plot No. 370 Block "L" Turwa ward, Tarime town council in Mara Region. The institution's vision is to be the leading institution in research, training and education that will help to solve greatest challenges of the 21st century and its mission is to provide quality holistic education, research, training and social services with a view of transforming society.
Professor Mwera Foundation aims to organize and carry out research, training workshops and seminars for the advancement of knowledge to women and young people in areas deemed to have knowledge and information gaps in either society or scholarly area. In fulfilment of the above main objectives, PMF embarked on building and registering the following institutes: Tarime Mchanganyiko secondary school, Tarime Vocational Training College, and Tarime Vocational Driving School Currently, PMF is collaborating with the President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG) in conducting training to Hoteliers and Tour guides, training youth and women on social Entrepreneurship, sensitizing local Tourism and encouraging the youth on the importance of joining Vocational Education under Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA). All these programs are conducted within all REGIONS in Tanzania mainland. During this year (2023), Professor Mwera Managing Director provided an award to Tanzania President Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
